B Caiello leads Open Section after three rounds!

Fourteen players competed in Round 3 of Ashland XXXI as another eight engaged in casual play Thursday night.

Ben Caiello (2032) looks to be in good form with Club Championship right around the corner as he defeated Lendel Robinson (1756) to move into clear first with 3 points. Dan Quigley (1807) continued his climb up the crosstable by surviving an opening miscue and battling through a bad position against a determined opponent in Paul Potylicki (1494). Be sure to check out Dan's Blog. Randall Gingerich (1525) scored the win over Chris Labreque (1667) to continue a successful return to the board after a four year break.

Birney Blind (1242) scored the win over James Doyle (1136) as Ralph Buske (1430) forced a peaceful conclusion with Christian Dunlap (1047).
